ArtWalk Again! Downtown Frankfort, Inc. Brings Back a Community Favorite! Special to Capital Living “Patrons of the Arts,” rejoice!! In response to the enthusiastic reception ArtWalk received earlier this summer, Downtown Frankfort, Inc. is bringing back this popular event, on Friday evening, September 24, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Paintings, photography, sculptures, fiber art and handmade jewelry will all be part of the mix. ArtWalk II will take place rain or shine! Come early, stay late. Plan to shop, eat and enjoy our beautiful city and its people. The early autumn event will coincide with other festivities planned to celebrate the opening of the World Equestrian Games, including a concert at the Old State Capitol featuring Alonzo Pennington and Da Mudcats, and will feature many of the same artists featured in July – plus! More than 20 downtown venues will open their doors to the public free-of-charge to showcase new area artists as well as established masters. The public will be able to visit galleries, studio spaces and exhibits, all located within six city blocks of beautiful downtown Frankfort – and the Trolley will be running a downtown loop, should you not want to walk the entire route.
